Information Technology (IT) is a predominant sector in market over last two decades due to high interdependence of other sectors over this discipline. Investment in this sector is growing with advent of emerging technologies. The research paper aims to portray the real picture in front of investors using forecasting the share prices of Indian IT sector. Considering the importance of the specific sector, this study revolves around forecasting the share prices and volatility of IT sector stocks. Three large cap stocks from the S&P BSE Index are considered based on their market capitalisation at the time of selection. Auto regressive moving average (ARMA) is applied to forecast its prices while Generalised Auto Regressive Conditional Heteroscedasticity (GARCH) is use to forecast volatility. The research has been conducted for 3 major IT service companies named Tata Consultancy Service (TCS); Infosys&Tech Mahindra with Monthly data taken of 12 years. It is found that the forecasted prices of stocks of IT sector are showing an increasing trend and the forecasted volatility associated with these stocks are high as compared to other sectors. The volatility is highest in Tech Mahindra while least in TCS.

The pharmaceutical industry is undergoing rapid transformation, as the pharmacy companies are facing pressure from governments and public for reduction in prices of life-saving drugs and initiating outcome-based pricing. India's pharmaceutical industry has been growing at record levels from past ten years. Even though the sector has a very huge potential to grow, from last couple of years it is facing major loss as there is a dip in investments due to sector specific risks as legal, safety, market to name a few. This industry's deep-ischolar_mained position as a global leader in the production of high-quality generic medicines is set to harvest significant new benefits as the patents on a number of blockbuster's drugs are about to expire over the next few years. Safety, policy, regulatory, contingency planning, various investment risks identified in this paper which are involved in the pharmaceutical, lead to fall in investments. The severity impact of all above identified investment risks on investment is analysed using factor analysis. Most influential risks are enumerated and simultaneously presented using graphical method as tornado chart.Keywords

The banking industry has been going through rapid transformation due to progressive economic reforms, changing demographics and fast-paced technological developments. Banks in India have been facing multitudinous challenges such as regulatory risks, upgradation of technology, intense competition, workforce challenges and operational risk. Workforce challenge plays a vital role among other challenges. The extant literature review shows that several studies have identified various workforce challenges of banks. However, their impact has not been quantified for effective risk mitigation. Such studies are more observatory than investigational. The present study aims to identify the major workforce challenges of banks through a structured approach that includes literature review, focus group discussion, assimilation of consultancy reports and conducting risk perception survey. The scope of the current study is limited to Indian public and private sector banks. As per literature review, the major workforce challenges identified are lack of required skills, performance management, inadequate recruitment and career planning and increasing staff cost. The workforce challenges are identified using factor analysis and a conceptual model is proposed for mitigation of key challenges.Keywords

The insurance industry in India is primarily human-intensive, and the business is managed by a large number of agents or advisors. This article identifies the factors responsible for attrition of individual agents of life insurance companies in India and explores its implications for these companies. The study draws and builds on findings from the primary survey of individual agents and senior officials of public and private life insurance companies in the country. The article posits fuzzy logic theory to estimate the attrition index. Some of the mitigation measures of agent attrition are proposed, which provide an initial assessment of the extent to which these can be applied in the Indian context.Keywords
